While upwards of 70% of the coffee farming workforce is made up of women, only about 20% of coffee farms are LED by women/women owned. Thus making this female-owned coffee farm a FORCE OF NATURE in its inception, execution, and growth over the years. We are proud to release this single origin Guatemalan medium roast coffee from the La Morena Program which is designed to showcase female coffee farmers from the regions of Huehuetenango and Baja Verapaz. La Morena gives these female coffee growers the chance to have access to the global supply chain and to address the larger issue of gender inequality in the coffee industry.
