During WWII, Glider Pilots had some of the most dangerous and riskiest missions, literally controlled-crashing behind enemy lines. Once on the ground, they fell in and fought along side infantrymen, and performed duties such as capturing enemy combatants, guarding hospitals and checkpoints and providing cover for fellow troops in a fire fight. Called the SILENT WINGS, this coffee is named in honor of our late friend and WWII Gliderman, 1st Sgt. Clifford "Cliff" Stump.

I took a bag of Silent Wings ground for French press on a mule deer hunt to try it for the first time. It was really good! The full bodied med/dark roast with hint's of chocolate and zero bitterness made it a hit in camp! I immediately ordered more when I returned home!
I like this one a lot and will reorder. Milder, more flavorful than the very dark roasts I usually drink.

I’ve tried several varieties of Fortitude coffee and while all are delicious, Silent Wings is by far my favorite! It’s a smooth and mellow tasting brew. I love reading the story on the coffee bag about 1st Sgt Cliff Stump for whom the coffee is honorably named. Fortitude Coffe is an amazing company!
